The Chobe River is one of the most important rivers in South West Africa and rises in the Angolan Highlands at the slope of Mount Tembo . The river travels long distances through the Kalahari until it reaches Botswana . It is also the region where 4 countries meet each other at the riverside – Namibia , Botswana ,Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The Victoria Falls are just 1 hour drive from our location Kasane where the Chobe River converges with the great Zambezi River .The Chobe Riverfront is the northern part of the Chobe National Park which is home to the biggest number of elephants worldwide .
It is said that about 150.000 elephants are living in this area .
The Chobe river is just at the backside of our lodge in Kasane and we are just in mid of this beautiful nature.
